AREA STAFF OFFICER METEOROLOGY
1. Eastern Area continues to fill places at national courses in particular adults who are obtaining qualification both basic and advanced. This has resulted in more locally run courses.
2. Now we have a recently qualified Met instructor from the Malta unit I am sure there will be more met qualified cadets in that part of the world.
3. Instructor numbers in the Area remain fairly constant with the addition of some newly appointed instructors.
4. Courses will continue to be run locally as a cost effective and user-friendly way of qualifying cadets, although adults will still have to attend a national course to be come qualified unless they have recognised qualifications from another source in which case it may be possible to do a short conversion locally. Which I am happy to do as and when required.
